The Cooler











Just a few things for you today in the Cooler.

A- TC Palm: It's that time of the year.
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A plume of white smoke from a brush fire that flowed east across Interstate 95 Wednesday stopped northbound and southbound traffic for much of the afternoon.
B- South Florida Business Journal: Because billionaires need help, too.
A push by the Miami Dolphins to secure state help for a $400 million renovation to Sun Life Stadium received unanimous approval Wednesday from a key Senate panel.

“Today's unanimous vote by the Senate's Finance and Tax Appropriations Subcommittee provides new momentum to our plans to bring Super Bowls, BCS title games and international soccer tournaments – and the hundreds of millions of dollars in economic activity that means – back to Miami-Dade County,” Dolphins President and CEO Mike Dee said immediately after the vote.
C- NBC Miami: Speaking of the stadium.
On Wednesday, The Miami Herald released results of a public opinion poll conducted by a Florida International University political science professor for a private client. The poll shows that 73 percent of the 1,000 likely Miami-Dade voters surveyed oppose the plan put forward by the Dolphins.
