Your Morning Sift

Good morning.

It is "good," isn't it? Moving on to your morning Sift...

A- Arterpillar shares some images from Saturday night's F.A.T. Village Art Walk in Lauderdale.

B- Bark Bark Woof Woof thinks about what was actually the purpose of Republican foot stomping and whining over the Hagel nomination.
The Republicans who opposed him just don’t like the fact that one of their former colleagues is now, in their eyes, a turncoat for working for Barack Obama.
C- Eye on Miami explains why Marco Rubio's position of climate change is shameful.
On the one hand Senator Rubio exalts America as the Shining City on the Hill -- rationalizing wars and foreign interventions to spread democracy -- but wouldn't a Shining City on the Hill do everything in its power to also spread economic stability, through rational reform of energy consumption and massive emphasis on conservation? That is, after all, where Senator Rubio plants his flag: protect our economy!
D- Arboles Libres is now Eagle Chief and Beached Miami finds out why.
Why Eagle Chief?

Genovese: We began thinking of band names that we felt close to. We had an entire page at one point with random sayings here and there, and we spent like three days on tour really thinking what we wanted to do. Eventually we had come across Eagle Chief, which served as the name for Eddie’s solo project. Arboles Libres had played under Eagle Chief once before when we had our Halloween show two years ago at Churchill’s. We promoted the show as Eagle Chief. Once the name came into light, we knew that was our new identity.
