MIAMI (CBSMiami) — Tug boats are preparing to tow a disabled Carnival Cruise Line ship to Alabama after aborting a plan to take it to Mexico.C- CBS4: Video, Store clerk gets pistol whipped and shot 10 times with revolver and shotgun and lives.
Officials say the Carnival Triumph has drifted so far north of it’s original position that it makes more sense to take it to Mobile, Alabama.
Miami-based Carnival Cruise Lines said passengers are calm despite the engine fire that left the ship Triumph adrift and disrupted some basic services, such as the use of toilets.

Former Republican Party of Florida chairman Jim Greer pleaded guilty to theft and money laundering just before jury selection in his criminal trial got under way.E- WPLG: The Chowfather has been talking about his new dining room furniture...just sayin'.

Greer says party leaders were aware of the company and that his prosecution is political payback. Sentencing is March 27 and he faces up to 35 years in prison.
MIAMI - The owner of Blue Collar wants to know who stole the restaurant's outdoor chairs.F- WPLG: Understandable misteak.
Daniel Serfer said the chairs outside of his restaurant at 6730 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami's MiMo neighborhood are missing.
Serfer said the white plastic chairs aren't expensive, but less seating means less customers.
Michael Stamm, the director of Planning and Economic Development for the City of Pembroke Pines, said on Monday that a car hit the sign. Stamm said the letter broke off during the accident, and that the sign was about to be replaced.
