SFDB Post Of The Week

I like this week's eclectic collection of posts that made it to final consideration for Post of the Week. I think you'll agree.

Runners-Up: Burger Beast's annual post marking the South Beach Wine and Food Festival's Burger Bash is always a favorite of mine with its multitude of photos of mouth watering patties and buns.  Leave it to Eye on Miami to find out that Miami-Dade County is trying to give county land away to the Nigerian-American Foundation. South Florida Guy took the time to tell us about a wonderful piece of Florida history out on Hutchinson Island that I'm betting not too many Floridians know about.


Winner:  There isn't anyone on the SFDB blogroll that is covering South Florida's art scene as comprehensively as Arterpillar. Over the past 7 months, she gathered as many cat-related photos and art pieces from her readers as she could and put them all together last week in something she called The Itty Bitty Kitty Show. It's a fun post, assembled with the help of kitty curators PBJ and Lil Red Buttons, that is a tribute to felines of all types, particularly those who add sparkle to the lives of South Florida's local artists. It's a heartwarming missive that will make you smile and if that isn't worth the Post of the Week, I don't know what is.
