Radio stations nationwide are boycotting the Dixie Chicks, even though Maines publicly apologized for telling a London audience last Monday: "Just so you know, we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas."

Maines is a Lubbock native.

Rush Limbaugh, this week...

“Ladies and gentlemen, for the first time in my life, I am ashamed of my country,” he said on his radio program Thursday. “To be watching all of this, to be treated like this, to have my intelligence — all of us — to have our common sense and intelligence insulted the way it’s being, is — it just makes me ashamed.”

Limbaugh hasn't apologized and no one, especially those patriotic 2003 Republicans, is boycotting him for this statement.
