Barfinder.com's Best 100 Bars of 2012 was posted earlier this month and there were a few South Florida bars that made the list. Here they are...
#1 - Mac's Club Deuce - Miami Beach, FL
#13 - Green Parrot Bar - Key West, FL
#18 - LIV Nightclub - Miami Beach, FL
#36 - Automatic Slim's - Miami Beach, FL
#90 - Cheers Restaurant & Bar - Fort Lauderdale, FL

I can think of several other local bars (Clarke's, Fox's, etc.) that would come to mind waaaay before I would think to name LIV as best bar.
Agree with the Deuce but including LIV makes me wonder about the rest of the places on the list.
*Mac has "owned" the Deuce ("222" 14th St.) since 1964 - coming up on HIS 50th year in the biz. I think the bar has been running as the "Oldest Bar on Miami Beach" - since 1924 ('26?). He also served under Patton - 702nd Tank Destroyer Battalion and was wounded/shot twice. He moves as quick now as he did then and is at the (222) "office" EVERY-day.
