Your Morning Sift

Good morning.

The SFDB Weekend Widget is loaded with items for the coming days so make sure you check it out in the right sidebar. It was a rather busy overnight...here's your morning Sift.

A- South Florida Classical Review reveals their "critic's choices" for this weekend.

B- Bark Bark Woof Woof contemplates Arizona's latest move to the right and injects a personal story into the narrative.

C- The Reid Report links to her Herald article that addresses how Republicans are moving to rig elections.
It’s a pretty nefarious idea: impose the president of your choice on the country, by giving your candidate more delegates in states he didn’t win. Sound crazy? Third World? Nope, it’s the latest genius scheme from the GOP.
D- Transit Miami urges us to take the bike survey currently being offered by the Miami Downtown Development Authority (DDA).

E- The Miami Bike Scene reminds us that Critical Mass is tomorrow night.
TRAFFIC ADVISORY: For those driving around downtown Miami, expect a lot of traffic on Friday evening so plan accordingly. The Miami Heat are playing the Detroit Pistons at 7:30pm and Downtown Miami is hosting the Flagler St. Jazz & Blues Block Party. Also, the Brickell Avenue Bridge is broken, if the bridge remains partially closed on Friday evening then traffic will be detoured towards the S Miami Ave / SW 2nd Ave bridges which will result in more traffic on SE 2nd Street (The Filling Station) where the ride typically ends. Cyclists, the ride is over at this point and you should all clear the street. Be courteous!
F- Tropicult previews this weekend's Average Joe Art Sale in Miami.
