Things are starting to pick up in the SoFla blogosphere as the holiday season draws to a close. As a result, finding this week's notables was a little tougher than it has been over the last month or so. Speaking of notables...
Runners-Up: Blogging Black Miami brought to our attention a story out of Liberty City that was most likely overlooked by everyone but them. The Chowfather's review of The Florida Cookery provided a glimpse of not only the food but also some background on who might be cooking it. I loved the angle that Culture Designers took when they checked out Gramps, the hottest place in Wynwood right now.
Winner: Any regular reader of this blog knows that I'm a sucker for a great car or car story. Knowing that, it should come as no surprise that I thoroughly enjoyed Bark Bark Woof Woof's "Welcome Home" post he composed for his beloved 1988 Pontiac station wagon after she returned from some refurbishment work. In addition to the great writing, BBWW made use of big photos that provided the reader a nice, clear picture of his cherished ride. I especially enjoyed the "back story" of the car and the review of the interior that appears to be as meticulously maintained as the exterior. It's no wonder that The Newest Antique drives away with this week's SFDB Post of the Week.
Stay tuned for the 2012 SFDB Post of the Year Nominees. Coming soon.
'Til next time, keep on blogging!
