SFDB Post Of The Week

This is the last SFDB Post of the Week for 2012, readers. Posting was particularly slow because of Christmas and the New Year run up so the pickings were particularly slim. Check out my selections...

Runners-Up: Burger Beast has been busy doing some yearly reviews and Best Ofs over the holidays but his Five Best Miami Food Truck Burgers received more of my attention than the others. I guess I enjoyed Boy Writes Miami's extremely complimentary review of Blue Collar so much because I know just how much that restaurant deserves it. Obalesque's discussion of religion, whether you agree with him or not, is worth taking into consideration...especially during a slow week.

Winner:  The Cobaya dining experiments that Food for Thought helps organize usually go off without a hitch. The grandiose dinners are flawlessly presented, enjoyed by the attending "guinea pigs" and discussed in great detail until the next Cobaya dinner is held. The latest in this series of events almost didn't happen due to a series of seemingly insurmountable challenges that the guest chef and his supporting staff experienced at the last moment. That story and how all of that drama was overcome, as well as Food for Thought's customary insight and imaging of the meal that was created that night is documented for readers in Cobaya Gets Cruxed. It's an interesting and sometimes nail-biting read that gets this week's SFDB Post of the Week recognition.

The December Post of the Month is coming up and will be followed by the Grandaddy of them all: the SFDB Post of the Year for 2012. Stay tuned, folks.

'Til next time, keep on blogging!
