Good morning.
I'll be heading back to South Florida this afternoon, leaving behind the cold weather of the last few days. The days here have been been surprisingly tolerable primarily because of the lack of a strong wind. It also helps that the skies have been, for the most part, clear, although I think that is supposed to change today. Here's your morning Sift.
A- The Reid Report says that, yes, guns are the problem.
Americans need to name the enemy: the N.R.A., which let’s face it, represents the interests of gun manufacturers and their need for profits, not individual, responsible gun owners. And they need to fight them like they fought ALEC. Only then will scaredy-cat politicians from either party grow enough stones to enact sane legislation like renewing the Assault Weapons Ban.

Progressives insist that union leaders actually represent the members who joined. So why exactly does the NRA not represent its members who joined?
This Jew is a proud, card carrying member of the NRA. I have met thousands of other people, from all walks of life, from all races, religions, ages, and political dispositions who are also proud, card carrying members of the NRA.
So take your Alinsky-ite tactics (a.k.a. LIES) and stick 'em where the sun don't shine.
Ironic that you use the union argument, JM, since the right-wingers spent last week in Michigan claiming that unions don't actually represent the average dues-paying member.
And I have met many people from all walks of life who are gun owners, gun collectors, and gunsmiths who wouldn't join the NRA at gunpoint. So there you are.
JM: You realize, I'm sure, that this post is a "Sift" and includes other blogger's content, right?
If you're going to be a pig, at least do so at the appropriate time.
Thanks!

1. I entertain your voices only as a courtesy, because the progressive movement's pro-choice stance disqualifies it from supporting gun control. You cannot take the position that society shall look the other way when murder occurs incidentally to a constitutional right in one instance, but not the other.
2. Bobby-"many" is a meaningless and innumerate word, and thus no argument. The NRA membership rolls and convention turnout speak for itself. The only complaint I have heard gun owners voice against the NRA is that they send out too much junk mail once you join.
3. Rick-you re-post it, you own it.

"I entertain your voices only as a courtesy, because the progressive movement's pro-choice stance disqualifies it from supporting gun control."
And the conservative movement's pro-life stance disqualifies it from supporting gun rights. and the death penalty.
See how easy that is, Pig?
"Rick-you re-post it, you own it."
Says you? Ha. You got your own blog to run. Back off mine.

Jewish Marksman, Americans are getting sick of your kind that value their guns over American lives. Quit caring about winning and start caring about this country.

More Alinsky-ite lies and demonizing. More proof the progressive movement is driven by bitter, bitter hatred.
What about you Anonymous? Do you value a woman's "right to choose" above a baby's right to live and be born? Do you think that the right to free speech means incendiary youtube videos that (supposedly) cause riots and death in the islamic world should be banned?
Of course you do.
But guns are a "conservative thing" so all your values, logic, and reason get thrown out the window to attack and hate me.
Kisses,
JM
