Most surprising about the ride, at least to your Belle Isle Blog, is the heat is generated from both commuters and and bicycle community.

B- Long Play Miami finally finds Della Humphrey.

About six months ago I went looking for her. I checked the internet for blogs, chat forums, news articles, any reference whatsoever as to her current whereabouts. I researched marriage licenses, traffic tickets, property deeds. My searches pointed me to towns and cities across the U.S, most of them unfamiliar to me, places like Loveland, Ohio and Florence, Kentucky. A search for death records located 12 Della Humphreys had passed since 1973 but no definitive matches for the Della I sought, not a trace.

C- Bark Bark Woof Woof shares some thoughts on the "War on Christmas."

If you want to holler MERRY CHRISTMAS, go right ahead, but don’t expect everyone else to follow along, including a lot of other Christians who think pushing their religion on others is arrogant and sanctimonious. Don’t tell me that saying “Happy Holidays,” “Happy Hanukkah,” or “Cool Yule” is taking away your faith. The only one who can take away your faith is you.

D- A guest blogger at Eye on Miami explains Florida's Guardian Ad Litem Program.

Appointed by Judges to protect the best interest of abused and neglected children, Guardians make sure the children are placed in a nurturing environment that will, ideally, lead to permanency within a year. They also provide youth “aging out” of the system with the tools necessary to succeed as they transfer into adulthood.
