SFDB's A Few Hours At Art Basel: Wynwood Edition

I prefer to do my Baseling in Wynwood. Less traffic, less pretentiousness and a lot more young artists there doing what they love. So yesterday afternoon I went to Miami and spent the afternoon walking, watching and visiting a few select galleries. Here's are a few photos from my day.

There were the cars...

...and other contraptions for getting around...

There was a disco bike (I have no idea)...

Everyone was having a good time it seemed...

...playing practical jokes on their friends...

...enjoying the unique art...

...and hauling it home.

Even Panther Coffee sent one of their employees out to show their support...or maybe they just needed to keep them busy.

Of course, I took full advantage of the Basel pop-up biergarten and the Gnarly Barley that was being offered up...

You never know what's around the next corner when you're strolling through Wynwood. At one point during the day, we walked right into a video shoot...

The day ended with a Pocket of Lollipops sunset concert in a field at the Miami's Independent Thinkers building next to I-95...

....and a bite to eat at Lost and Found Saloon on the way home.*

Overall, a Class AAA South Florida day.

*I recently read a review somewhere online that their food had gone downhill. Don't believe it. Great meal. Unique ambiance. Make sure you eat at the bar so you can chat with the employees.

Hey I was there yesterday and didn't see any of the stuff you took photos of. We didn't duplicate so I enjoyed all your photos.
