The Art Basel vibe is beginning in earnest now so you're going to see more and more of it in the South Florida blogosphere this week. Good Tuesday morning, readers. Here's your Sift.

Aptly titled "100 Years of Artitude 1913-2013 Pataphysics for Dummies" the installation is a centennial celebration of the artistic development of craft and culture. Not since the ArmoryShow of 1913 have esthetic seismographs detected such considerable tremors and creative rumblings emanating from fecund minds. With an amalgamation of historical artifacts and the metaphysical, Swampspace spirals into the subjectivity of experienced reality; the inseparability of past, present, and future; and the power of language as a pataphor for attitudes in art market nihilism, truth of contradictions and exceptions.

D- Go Hydrology! answers the question, "So just how dry is it?"

This November is shaping up to by the least rainiest in modern memory.

That said, you’ll need to accept that there’s simply way too much going on to do it all, and FOMO is just part of the game. And while there will be innumerable glitzy private dinners, champagne receptions, and VVVIP openings, there’s also plenty to see and do that’s accessible, street-level, and fun as hell.
