Your Morning Sift



Good morning.

Monday, Monday. I have a real nice morning Sift for you today. Enjoy and take heart that this week is a short one in the office. Here we go.

B- Southern District of Florida Blog has an update on one of the more less serious federal trials going on today.

C- The Miami Bike Scene recaps this years Cranksgiving with a slideshow.
We had a great time at the 4th annual Cranksgiving Bicycle Food Drive Alleycat Race yesterday afternoon, 170 registered cyclists rode and collected approximately $2,000 worth of non-perishable items for the Camillus House.
D- Eye on Miami interviews Ross Hancock, a Miami-Dade Democrat who received no attention from almost anyone, including his own party, but almost beat a well-supported Republican candidate.
What did you learn from the campaign that defied your expectations, as a first time candidate?

I thought that if I had a platform that was pro-labor and pro-social justice that I would have support from labor unions and the Democratic Party. It surprised me that I didn’t.
E- Bark Bark Woof Woof's parents write a letter to Talking Points Memo about the election.
They have been involved in a lot of campaigns in Northwest Ohio for many years, and you might recall that in 2004, my mom was a delegate to the Democratic convention in Boston. In 2008 they opened their house to visiting campaign workers and volunteers, and this year they did it again.
