Good morning.
Kind of a quiet Friday night and Saturday morning in the South Florida blogosphere. Here's your morning Sift.
A- Political Cortadito contemplates the political future of Miami-Dade politician Joe Martinez and again shows her awkward affection for one of the most corrupt Cuban-American politicians in South Florida history.
Martinez told Ladra Friday that while he’s “gotta find a job in the private sector,” he was seriously considering a run for the U.S. Congressional seat stolen earlier this month by former Public Service Commission Chairman Joe Garcia, who could only beat the beleaguered U.S. Rep. King David “Nine Lives” Rivera in an Obama rush year with horrific headlines hovering over the incumbent and a fifth or sixth or 27th investigation into his campaign affairs.B- The Miami Bike Scene has some info about the Heineken Mural Project set to occur during Art Basel.
C- Eye on Miami notes the Herald's support of the Miami Marlins in the past.
The Herald might come clean with readers: its publishers and top executives were the big boosters for a new Marlin's stadium in downtown Miami in the early 2000's.
