A- Your South Florida feelgood moment of the day...from Restaurant Gal.
B- Obalesque makes me laugh.
C- South Florida Theatre Scene gets us ready for another theater weekend.
D- The Miami Bike Scene recaps Gran Fondo Giro d’Italia last weekend.
It was a fun ride and I found the challenge of trying to stay with the front pack exhilarating, though I think police escort could definitely be improved in the future particularly while crossing busy intersections like US1 around Naranja. We faced a few unexpected obstacles along the way which made the ride reminiscent of cyclocross and I didn't necessarily mind that.E- On Two Shores posts the latest anti-embargo missive from Cuban blogger Yoani Sanchez.
F- Go Hydrology! says that, yep, it's the dry season.
G- Salty Eggs shows us what the Texas Bill of Rights will look like if they secede.
2. Every citizen is required to carry at least one gun at all times. Children must be able to handle a firearm and fire it into the air on holidays before admittance to kindergarten. Everyone must stand their ground at all times, no matter what, even if other people are also standing their ground and the result is a giant Wild West-style shootout. The last person alive was right.H- Bark Bark Woof Woof compares business to government.
But the difference is the product and the bottom line. Yes, government has to work within a budget (at least the entity that I work for does), but the product we create isn’t something you see on a store shelf. Neither are most of the government services you see: police, fire, utilities, schools, road maintenance, and so on. And providing them isn’t something that is driven by a profit motive or a competitive urge to beat the other guy to the best sales record and the biggest bonus.

H: Also in a business, half the employees are not working against the Boss and half the board of directors isn't stonewalling the other half of the board so they can kick the CEO out! They're all working for the betterment and profits of the company. Sort of like a socialist or communist society right?
