Your Evening SIft

The SFDB Weekend Widget has been packed since last night with things to do over the weekend. Make sure you check it out after you take in a Guinness-fueled evening Sift.

A- Carlos Miller is not guilty.

B- Go Hydrology! presents his "coastal Miami-Dade County" (huh?) annual rain chart for the last 42 years.

C- Giancarlo Pagani, general manager of The Bazaar at the SLS Hotel South Beach, chats it up with Eater Miami.
What's your favorite night at the restaurant?
I like Friday nights. It gets the weekend started right. It's an incredible vibe, you have the energy from Miami's people and the excitement from all the food and cocktails moving around between the venues- us, Bar Centro, Katsuya, Hyde- having us all under one roof.
D- Miamism answers the question that everyone is asking, "What's on Miamism's desk?"
A Wood desktop is a must have for me – natural wood surface keeps me centered. I cannot work on glass or stone surface tops. No matter what kind of technology surrounds me, wood brings it all together to harmonize my work space.
E- Beached Miami has their Instapix Pic of the Week up and ready for your viewing.

F- 3 Midtown and 6 Midtown are coming, according to Curbed Miami.

G- It's a knockout, at On Two Shores.
Ever since the first polls came out in the early 00s showing a shift in attitudes inside the Cuban American community, we’ve heard naysayers from the Mambí geritopundits to the pandering politicos say the same thing: “what about at the ballot box?” Well, here you go. Left jab: Joe Garcia knocks out “El Gangster” Rivera, Right cross: 48% vote Obama –that’s a gain of 13% vs. 2008!– and the hardliners are down in the canvas and crying “Ya no más!”
