Your Evening Sift

Thanksgiving Eve 2012. Don't forget to leave cookies and milk out. Here's your evening Sift.

A- Now that Marco Rubio is apparently running for President in 2016, Searching for Signs laments that he was asked a "gotcha" science question about the age of the Earth that was a clear attempt to paint Rubio as a "neanderthal."
Consider it a fair warning to Rubio and other conservatives, because you bet that the media will be out to paint Rubio and other young conservatives as neanderthals.
B- South Florida Classical Review has the rest of this year's classical events schedule.

C- The305.Com has the news that the big UR1 concert has been postponed because of weather.

D- Oak Tavern Fine Food & Spirits is now open in the Design District, according to Eater Miami.
Putting his spin on pizzas, the wood oven will be firing up pies with duck and poached pear, gnocchi with house made rabbit-truffle sausage, and baked mussels. Small plates and snacks like bison carpaccio, stone crab crostini, and bahn mi keep things interesting, while staples like his signature oysters from The River are available with a daily selection.
E- South Florida Lawyers has some not so reassuring news for Citizens insurance holders.

F- Homestead is Home makes me laugh.

G- Random Pixels posts a Thanksgiving story.

H- The Reid Report breathes a sign of relief after viewing a recent picture of Mitt Romney.

By all means, democrats will "paint" Rubio as stupid (or "Palinize" him, as they say) by repeating the dumb things that he says. Just like they repeated the dumb things that Palin said.

These people are victims of their own dullness.

A: they want to run on being anti-science, then complain when they are called out on it. If SFS wants to blame somebody, blame the party who makes religion and obscurantism a political platform.

Someone should ask Rubio whether his living so close to Cuba makes him qualified in foreign policy. "I can see Cuba from my window!"
