SFDB Post Of The Week
SFDB selects its Post of the Week by going back and reviewing all the Sifts that we've done over the past 7 days. We find the best post of the week and note the runners ups as we judge them to be.
It was a great week for blogging in South Florida. Four solid posts made it to this week's Post of the Week write up. Let's see who came out on top.
Runners-Up: Eye on Miami did a great job (the best job, in fact) all week following early voting in Miami-Dade County. This post was one of a number on the subject but the one I thought was best presented with video, an image and some descriptive narrative. Sex and the Beach goes fishing in Florida Bay and brings back some great pictures and a nice story about finding some fish...and more. Beached Miami put together one of the more rational, reasonable and articulate arguments for voting for Obama that I've seen on the internets.
Winner: Bark Bark Woof Woof is usually providing his readers insight on national politics but every now and then he changes things up and inserts a non-political post into the mix and reminds us that there's more to Bark Bark Woof Woof than Republicans and Democrats. While I Voted wasn't exactly one of those posts it was pretty darn close. In it, Bark Bark Woof Woof takes us along as he heads out to the polls early one morning to vote. We get to follow along as he makes his way through the long line, finally getting inside the library to register his choices. His observations, photos, comments and thoughts as he did all this makes for a great post that is worthy of this week's SFDB Post of the Week.
