Four years ago, Babalu Blog's George Moneo stood on the edge of an abyss, wringing his hands in hysterics about what 4 years of an Obama presidency would bring.
For the first time in my life I know what my mother and grandparents must have felt in 1958 before the abyss opened up and swallowed Cuba. I don’t think my comparison is wrong. The only difference with today is that in Cuba in 1958, only a few people knew fidel was a Marxist; today, the evidence is overwhelming, if you only want to look at it, that Barack Obama is just that.*Cough* Drama Queen *Cough*
Are we willing to give our country up? Wake up! Keep fighting! We have nineteen days left in this battle and we have to win!
And to all of you who support this man, with your smug attitudes, your narrow vision, your wanton stupidity, and your ignorance; you, and only you, will be held accountable by history for the demise of this country if Obama and his minions get elected to a majority and succeed in remaking America in their image and likeness.
May Almighty God help us in this fight.
Yesterday, on the eve of Election Day, George Moneo was back at it, telling his flock [via Google] at Babalu Blog that we're on the "precipice of an unstable cliff" and comparing the significance of this election to the end of the Roman Empire and the Reformation. Oh, and he transformed Mitt Romney into Abraham Lincoln.
I do not think it is hyperbole to make comparisons between this year, and the effective end of the Roman Republic in 44 BC, the Reformation in 1517, the election of Abraham Lincoln in 1860, and the beginning of World War I in 1914. The events in each of those pivotal years changed the world forever. But then again, Mr. Rhetorical Overload probably thinks that the Twinkie revolutionized the snack cake industry.
So here we are 4 years after that terrifying moment when Tea Party George stood at the edge of that great chasm. He now believes that the only way that America will survive is if enough people vote for the very recently pro-choice Republican who gave our Socialist Kenyan President the bright idea for Obamacare.
Which reminds me. George also said this back in 2008 in that same breathless post.
I’m so disgusted at the members of my party who seem to have forgotten their core conservative principles in exchange for short-term political gain. Where are the Reagan Republicans and the Reagan Democrats? Where are the Republicans who crafted the “Contract With America”? Where are all of us who stand for something in this country, who stand for the true American principles of liberty, property, self-reliance and decency? Where the hell are they?Where the hell are they?
They're voting for Mitt Romney this time around.
Welcome to the club, George.
Again.

In the last four years, the stock market index has doubled, corporate profits are through the roof, personal wealth among the 1% is stratospheric, and plutocrats are running for president.
If Barack Obama is a Marxist, he really sucks at it.
He's not a very good progressive either.
According to Cornell West and Tavis Smiley, he's not too good at being Black, either. Tough crowd out there.
And somewhere in Davie, the largest Volkswagen dealer in the world is being built... yeah the economy is not recovering one bit!
Obama is probably the worst Marxist ever. Not terribly progressive, but frankly that just means there's been less bickering in congress than there might have been.
No, seriously! Most of Obama's solutions have been culled from the Republican playbook, and the GOP has gone apeshit fighting them tooth and nail. I can't imagine what would have happened if he'd suggested even a remotely lefty plan for anything.
