A- Man or Maniac? continues to call out Republican Paul Ryan out for the lies he's telling the American public.

I have a great idea for you, Paul; why wait for the election? Why don't you take responsibility for what Republicans have done to this country now? Admit to three years of obstructing our economic recovery, own up to the damage done by the Bush administration and its record expansion of the national debt, accept that our current financial straits are the direct result of all the deregulation that the GOP has fostered over the last thirty years.

B- Public art works are planned for Opa-Locka, according to Blogging Black Miami.

One of Miami’s most historic, yet distressed neighborhoods – Opa-locka – is in the midst of a major revitalization. Funded by a blend of public and private investment, including grants by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Opa-locka Community Development Corporation (OLCDC) is working to transform a city stigmatized by decades of crime and adversity into a Community of Choice with art.

C- Roy Black on the importance of the first minute of a speech.

I have written several times about the first minute of an opening, a final argument or a public speech. The sad fact is that people stop listening quickly if you don’t grab their attention immediately. They must see there is something in what you are saying for them. Either amusement, fact or important information. Without a grabber, ears and minds start closing.
