Your Evening Sift

Things were busy in the blogosphere today. Here are some of the more notable posts in South Florida today. Enjoy your evening Sift.

A- Hello, I'm Scott attended something called Floatopia this past weekend and brought back some photos.

B- Political Cortadito posts an open letter to Rick Scott about absentee ballot voter fraud in Florida.
Still, it looks kind of bad for you to be all gung-ho on voter fraud by non-citizens, which has to be a tiny percentage of the fraud going on, and not do a thing about the two arrests on absentee ballot tampering here and the implications that it involved a county commissioner – whose office was being used by his assistant as a ballot repository – two sitting state representatives, a newly-elected state rep, a state senator, the mayors of two, maybe three cities and several elected council members. All involved up to their eyeballs in the organized running and collecting of absentee ballots.
C- Salty Eggs previews the Reel & Restless Fest that is coming up at Churchill's.
While many of the bands performing hail from around the country, the fest features some extremely important South Florida homecomings and reunions, including a highly anticipated performance by (former) Pompano Beach/Coral Springs band Shai Hulud, with defining vocalist Chad Gilbert (also of New Found Glory) leading the charge.
D- For those keeping track, there are two new food trucks that you might run into around South Florida, says Eater Miami.

E- A new fancy pedestrian bridge that links Alice Wainwright Park, in Coconut Grove, to Cocoplum Circle is being installed, reports Curbed Miami.

F- Florida Keys Girl will definitely make a return trip to Stock Island's Roostica.
The menu really consists of a few things: individual size pizzas with a whole bunch of topping variations, salads, and even limoncello chicken wings (which I hear are great). On Sundays they serve “Sunday Gravy”, spaghetti and meatballs done family style.
G- The305.Com shares a Miami wall mural dedicated to the late actor, Michael Clarke Duncan.

H- What is the Gables Bike Tours Autumn Trail Series all about? The Miami Bike Scene answers the question.

I- Discourse examines and analyzes the lengthy list of amendments that Floridians will be voting on in November.

J- The latest example of why it's so difficult talking factually to Republicans, at Bark Bark Woof Woof.
