SFDB Post Of The Week

SFDB selects its Post of the Week by going back and reviewing all the Sifts that we've done over the past 7 days. We find the best post of the week and note the runners ups as we judge them to be.

I have a nice mix of posts this week that I think does a good job representing the diversity of posts you'll find in the South Florida blogosphere. Here they are...

Runners-Up: Some Blogging Guy shared his experience at the first day of Miami Dolphins training camp and included a number of interesting photos that gave us an idea of what a zoo it was. Political Cortadito has been doing a great job keeping us abreast of the absentee ballot fraud investigation in Hialeah and was one of the first to report on the detention of ballot collectorsFood for Thought's comprehensive review of The Bazaar was a challenge based on the extensive menu, but the resulting post reads well and is packed with information and photos for would-be diners wondering what they should expect.

Winner:  The Green Parrot Bar documents the goings on at the iconic Key West bar of the same name and readers are treated to posts about the concerts, gatherings and stories of everyday life at the bar. Last week, the Green Parrot Bar graced us with an excellent story that mixed some Key West history and a good deed that the bar did for a family visiting from out of town. As longtime SFDB readers know, I'm a sucker for a sentimental tale and the Green Parrot Bar delivered in fine fashion. So much so that this week, Sanchez Corner Memorialized, is this week's SFDB Post of the Week.

The July Post of the Month voting is upon us. Look for the nominees to be appearing here very shortly.

'Til next time, keep on blogging!
