Your Evening Sift

Is it already Sunday evening? *sadface* Not a whole lot going on in the South Florida blogosphere today, readers. Here are what I considered the high points. Enjoy your Sift.

A- Jeff Eats checks out Cafe Vincenzo in Margate.
Now let me get back to the food…is this the best red sauce Italian stuff that I’ve eaten? Nope! I will tell you, that I really enjoyed the pizza (thin crisp crust, sweet sauce)…I thought, that- the on the bone chicken scarpaiello was absolutely delicious–the rest of the food was okay- but nothing to get nuts over. Trust me, I’ve eaten better and then again, I’ve eaten worse. Based on food alone, would I go back? Sure, but like most joints that Jeff Eats has been to, Cafe Vincenzo does some dishes better than others.
B- The305.Com posts a photo of an 1870's Flagler Street as part of their Old School Sundays feature.

C- Beached Miami shares their Instapix Pic of the Week...and a few others.

D- More cross-examination tips from Roy Black and Irving Younger.
The witness will always trump your cross on this issue because he has an excellent reason to remember your client and one the jury will readily accept. And in doing this all you do is lose credibility with the jury. They see you grasping at straws. So don’t go down that road at all. The lesson to be learned is only cross-examine on a real weakness that can’t be solved easily on re-direct. Know where to attack. Only then apply the techniques of cross examination. Don’t confuse tactics with strategy.
