Which brings us to....
Long Play Miami brings to life the little known lives of those intimately involved in the Miami R&B and soul music scene back in the '60's and '70's in a wondrous fashion. Mr. Clarke is but one of these lives.
Let's look at how the voting went...
Here are some of The Editors' comments that they submitted after they considered their choices and spent several sleepless nights trying to make up their minds.
Ipanemic:
I don't know why, but every month, it seems to get more and more difficult to choose. All of them are great in their own right. I was intrigued by Brian Butler's work thanks to Tropicult, and Blind Tastes posts are always mouthwatering. I though Long Play Miami's interview was a phenomenal piece of writing and a great story, but in the end, MiamiBeach411's article did it for me for the sole reason that the controversy caused sparked widespread discussion about issues that are critical to quality of life in Miami.
South Florida Lawyers:
All worthy candidates, but my mind immediately planned a road trip to Bluff City after reading Blind Tastes' mouthwatering review.
Bark Bark Woof Woof:
I grew up close to Motown so you know how I voted on this. I love hearing about a city’s music history because the best way to get to know the heart of a city is through its art.
Miami Beach 411:
I voted for "Nominee #4:"The Resilient Soul of Mr. Clarke" The interview is what sold it for me.
Carlos Miller
I voted for "The Resilient Soul of Mr. Clarke" not only because it focused on a part of forgotten Miami history but for the simple fact the writer actually reached out to the subject and interviewed him in person, something that most bloggers would rather slice a vein than do.
Random Pixels
No contest this month IMHO. I voted for MiamiBeach 411's "In Miami, We Don't Stop for Pedestrians."
Anyone over the age of 10 should have recognized 2 lines in that Matt Meltzer's post was satire. It was hilarious to watch all of the "transit nerds" get their panties in a bunch over this post.
Nice posting, Long Play Miami. I think we're all looking forward to future posts.

It was an honor just to be nominated....thanks Rick. And that post was a lot better than mine, I'll agree. But thank you to those who voted.
Very much deserved win for LPM. Thanks to all who read along and hope you make it to Ridgewood someday!
thanks to all those who voted for Long Play Miami. as you can see it's not your typical blog (e.g., less frequent posts than normally expected from a blog). But don't despair, there is plenty of labor put forth with each post. More to come on Miami's 60s/70s soul scene.
