SFDB selects its Post of the Week by going back and reviewing all the Sifts that we've done over the previous week. We find the best post of the week and note the runners ups as we judge them to be.
I'm always impressed with the amount of time that South Florida bloggers invest in their craft. This week's selection of posts are a prime example of that. Onward!
Runners-Up: Random Pixels apparently continued to tap into his well-placed sources inside the Miami Beach PD and broke some news that, once again, wasn't very complimentary to the police department. Watching traffic for 9 minutes on a particularly heavily traveled Miami street couldn't be more entertaining and enlightening thanks to a Transit Miami post that caught it all on camera. The post also generated lots of commentary. Soul of Miami captured the mayhem of the Pembroke Pines Whole Foods grand opening with plenty of pictures that they obtained by braving the unruly masses.
Winner: South Florida Food and Wine has somehow managed to keep a fairly low profile when it comes to the SFDB Post of the Week selections. To be sure, there's always the consistent restaurateur interviews and the information on South Florida food and wine events that are SFFW's bread and butter, so to speak. But this past week, Delray Beach's annual Savor the Avenue dining experience provided the impetus for a most excellent detour from the SFFW routine. Lots of photos and a descriptive narration of the evening formed the foundation for a great post that gave readers a reason to consider making it to next year's dinner that is always held in the middle of a downtown street. Nice job, South Florida Food and Wine, and congratulations on your SFDB Post of the Week selection for Savor the Avenue, Delray Beach.
'Til next time, people, keep on blogging! March Post of the Month voting is coming up!
