We're over the hump and on our way into the weekend, readers! Here's your very fulfilling Hump Day evening Sift.
A- Sex and the Beach posts a video of last night's panel discussion at the Social Media Club South Florida.
B- Carlos Miller says someone is stealing his thunder.
A guy who runs a site called Photography Isn’t a Crime doesn’t do much reporting of actual incidents but he is sure to remind people who stumble on his site that he is in dire need of donations.C- There are now hovercraft tours of Florida Bay, according to Homestead is Home.
D- Transit Miami provides the info detailing why Brickell's Triangle Park is on hold.
According to the owner and developer Mallory Kauderer, the primary reason for the work stoppage is due to a delay in securing a necessary water supply for the planned shrubs and trees. Florida Power and Light agreed to provide the site with a water hookup for a sprinkler, but have been unresponsive in repeated requests to install it, according to Kauderer.E- The305.Com shares a few images of old school Coconut Grove houses that he captured during a recent outing.
All the old wood panel houses of yesteryear are like a hidden treasure. Miami is technically not that old of a city. So to see so many vintage houses back-to-back-to-back in one area is pretty amazing.F- Florida Keys Girl recommends a new teeny-tiny noodle bar in Key West.
But the main attraction here is are the noodle bowls. I am really looking forward to coming back and trying other varieties. We had the Pho, which also comes in a choice of beef tenderloin or tofu. The bowl itself is gigantic and filled with noodles and broth, topped with a good amount of protein. Served alongside the bowl are bean sprouts (for which I have an abnormal fondness), jalapeno peppers (sliced, but still with many seeds) and cilantro. The whole thing was lick-your-bowl good.G- Political Cortadito is on the warpath in Hialeah.
So, after the detective refused to return my calls, I’ve taken the liberty of forwarding the report and information that I have to support these allegations to the Miami-Dade Commissionn on Ethics and Public Trust as well as the State Attorney’s Office. They might take the extra step that Salazar did not take to get Rice’s and Hernandez’s phone records and, hopefully, text messages. I will furnish them with photographs of Rice harassing and following me during early voting at JFK and taking photographs and video tape for hours at a time of myself and of employees supporting Martinez and former State Sen. Rudy Garcia, who was eliminated in the first round. I will give them photos and video of Rice intimidating volunteers, mostly employees, at the polls. I will give them names of witnesses. I will give them the video I took at Flannigan’s on Election Night when Glenn had police issue me another illegal trespass warning after he intentionally stepped on my foot and put his weight on it in an effort to make me push him away and have me charged with battery. How much do you wanna bet that would not have been ruled unfounded?
