Your Morning Sift

Good morning.

I'm not going to be doing a weekend widget this weekend because, quite frankly, there isn't much going on except for something called Christmas. Enjoy your very abbreviated morning Sift.

A- Obalesque doesn't have much use for Christmas traditions.
Want to string flammable light bulbs and dried wreaths around your house?   Go ahead — FPL thanks you.  Want to spend Christmas eve and/or morning on a hard bench listening to half-baked moralizing from some semi-educated knob in clerical garb pretending he or she isn’t a full-time fundraiser?  Knock yourself out and drive carefully back and forth.
B- Random Pixels now turns his sights to the Huffington Post and accuses them of possibly stealing and improperly using content from the Miami Herald.
In another Herald story posted on the paper's website Monday evening, veteran staffer Andres Viglucci wrote about the Dade Heritage Trust's efforts to have the Miami Herald building declared a historic landmark.

By 9am Tuesday, Janie Campbell, "founding editor" of HuffPost Miami had copied and regurgitated Viglucci's story all over HuffPost Miami's homepage.

Call me crazy but I'm glad someone is out there spending their days cruising the internet making sure that everyone is complying with fair use and linkage rules!

Here's a mind bender: Why doesn't anyone ever steal New Times content?
