I spent the afternoon in Miami viewing Page One: Inside The New York Times at O, Cinema thanks to a last minute recommendation from @SteveBM. I walked away having more faith that the Times would survive the change in the public's media consumption although I can't say as much for other newspapers less willing to recognize "new media." Anyway, the movie was well worth the drive down and seeing the Beached Miami advertisement before the show made it even more special. I swear those guys are their own empire. Here's your very quiet Sunday evening Sift.
A- Check out how the locals spend Sunday morning at The Green Parrot.
B- The running of the bulls in Pamplona reminds Random Pixels of an old City of Miami proposal that would have made a mini-Pamplona out of Calle Ocho.
In 1980, Aida Levitan, who was the City of Miami's information director, proposed a smaller scale version of the Pamplona insanity where bulls would run amok on Calle Ocho.
Levitan insisted no one would get hurt because they would use "baby bulls."
