Wow. This is certainly overdue. Here we go with one of our semi-annual adjustments to SFDB's blogroll. As regular readers know, I like to keep the blogrolls fresh and filled with blogs that are regularly contributing to the South Florida blogosphere. So let's see who is in and who is out this time around. Hellos...
Culture Designers
I'm trying to build up SFDB's art blog collection and Product 81's Culture Designers fits the bill. Miami-based, the Wordpress blog has only been around since last month but I like what they're doing.
Product 81 is a creative lab based in Miami’s thriving Wynwood Arts District. We are an ever-growing cultural experiment. A platform for expression, creation and growth. This blog is where we share things that inspire us.You will be able to find Culture Designers in the South Florida Art Blogs blogroll.
Girl In A Bar
This one comes recommended from South Florida Lawyers and as you might guess, it's primarily about lawyering but also has some other things mixed in to keep it interesting. Dee Dee Fisher, a litigation shareholder at Akerman Senterfitt, has been posting since May.
Roy Black
I don't think this guy needs an intro. He's been posting some well-written and interesting pieces since he started in March.
At any one time there are 60 million blogs infesting the internet and only 3% of them last for any appreciable time period. So why clutter the web with another blog? I am taking this on for personal reasons. I have no intent to change the world, or garner a large audience. My purpose is purely self interest.
I am writing this to teach myself. No one else. So this will be personal. I find that putting my ideas on paper helps crystallize them. It makes me think and work out ideas. Ideas about trials pop into my head all the time. During the fall semester at the law school I can use them for lecture topics. But outside of that, I have no forum to articulate them. Unless I make the effort to write them down and flush them out, I am afraid they will be lost. So now I have an outlet to discuss them.
Political Cortadito
Elaine de Valle worked for the Miami Herald for 18 years and is the author of this blog that covers Miami-Dade politics. While I find it rather annoying that she refers to Ladra, her alter-ego, at regular intervals, Political Cortadito's coverage of the political scene is comprehensive and detailed. Ms. de Valle uses the Blogger platform and has been posting since January. You will find Political Cortadito in the Florida Politics blogroll.
SFDB extends a warm welcome to all four new additions to the SFDB blogroll.
With the addition of two more "lawyer blogs," I've created a separate blogroll just for them called the South Florida Lawyers Sidebar.
