SFDB selects its Post of the Week by going back and reviewing all the Sifts that we've done over the past 7 days. We find the best post of the week and note the runners ups as we judge them to be.
Another easy week for me in selecting the PotW. The runners-ups were a little more of a challenge but there was no doubt about the winner. Check it out.
Runners-Up: I've said it before and I'll keep saying it because it's so damn true: Beached Miami's photos by Robby Campbell kick ass. This week's set taken at the Miami Bike Prom made you want to grab a bike and jump over your keyboard into the monitor to join in. It was nice to see some of the old writing style back at A Mom, a Blog and the Life In-Between as she paid homage to her backyard mango tree with a beautifully written post. Miami Beach 411 broke out the video and the still cameras in order to capture some of the action and pandemonium during Urban Beach Weekend.
Winner: South Florida blog readers usually can find Liam Crotty Photography posting sets of images taken during one of the many shoots he does as part of his business. But in what constituted a rare departure from that formula, Crotty got in his car last week and drove north on I-95 to find out more about Raymond Herisse, the young man who was gunned down by police during Memorial Day Weekend on South Beach. Crotty walked and photographed Herisse's neighborhood and found a neighbor who was willing to speak to him about the man and his family. It's an interesting and well-composed post that goes where even seasoned journalists dare to tread and for that reason, Who Was Raymond Herisse? picks up this week's SFDB Post Of The Week.
'Til next time, keep on blogging!
