Alright, so I totally understand that this is not representative of what's going to happen next Tuesday and I realize that most of my readers are mentally fit, sane and not Republicans, but humor me and cast your vote for Florida's next Senator down below. And then, after you're done, tell me who you think is actually going to win.
If you have further input, let's hear your words of wisdom in the comments...

The conventional wisdom is that Rubio's lead is unsurmountable, however, don't let the Senate race be the only motivating factor to get out to the polls if you're a Democrat. There are other important races, most notably Sink for Governor, that need Democratic turnout.
I hope that every Progressive steps up and votes for Meek to make a statement. Crist has done nothing, nor can he be assured to do anything in the future, for progressive causes. If Rubio is inevitable then at least let's help Meek make a bold stand.
A new poll today shows that Crist is now pulling near or over 50% of the registered Democratic vote. As a Democrat, I voted for him, and he's now pulling closer to Rubio and Meek is polling lower than ever.
I'm all for progressive statements. I think a single-payer or more universal system of healthcare should've been attempted in the House, whether it failed or not. The same for financial regulations and climate. But one thing is being able to try again if you can't get what you want, and the other is being stuck with it for six years.
Make your progressive statement and vote for Meek, but then don't complain when you spend the next six years listening to our new Tea Party senator making his own crazy statements.
sorry anon#1 - Crist has done things that, by Florida standards, should be considered very progressive. He closed the best deal he could on the US Sugar land deal. Huge. He never wavered on his opposition to offshore oil drilling. He stopped a new law requiring an ultrasound before an abortion. He stood up for teachers and our children. I didn't vote for him for Governor but he proved me wrong - he wasn't just another Republican and he truly seems to act in the best interests of Florida before party. Vote for Crist, please.
Democrats never fare well when they try to be too cute. Thinking they'd outsmart everybody by being "pragmatic", they may get left holding something other than their nose on Nov. 3.
That's what happens when you concede an election 2 years out and don't recruit a strong electable candidate. Charlie took you lunch money back then. Now he dances with your date.
Honestly, if Rubio wins, you should all thank him for sparing you the indignity. After voting for W once (as far as you know), I can tell you, you're better off.
GoD: I can't speak for the others but for me, I find this somewhat comparable to voting for someone like Rick Scott just because you want a Republican to win.
It's my opinion that Crist jeopardized the security of this country when he said that Sarah Palin was qualified to be vice-president back in 2008. I refuse to vote for anyone who is willing to go that far in the name of partisan politics. As soon as I saw that clip, my decision was made.
For me, I can't vote for someone who views this country's security in such political terms. I respect the reasons why other Democrats want to vote for Crist. I just can't do it.

I prefer Meek but will vote for Crist because he seems to have better chances of defeating Rubio.
I held my nose and voted Crist.

Nonee, nobody is trying to outsmart anybody. It's a very naked desperation move.
I hope this fiasco convinces everybody that coronations aren't a good idea. Then again we are democrats, sure to find another way to screw it up.
So only 2 of you out of 61 think Meek can win but 21 of you voted for him? Why waste a vote even on Rick's make believe poll?
