I'm a little pressed for time this morning so here's what I could round up from this morning's news for a quick Cooler.
A- Herald: Stay away from downtown tonight.
After all the pinch-yourself excitement this town has experienced since the summer, the Miami Heat's home opener is here. Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh will put on their home jerseys Friday night and play together for the first time at AmericanAirlines Arena when they meet the Orlando Magic for an 8 p.m. tipoff.B- Herald: Morin.
C- Sun-Sentinel: Life in South Florida.
In the dense cypress swamp west of Boynton Beach, a ranger points at a bare cypress tree trunk once dotted with rare bromeliads. Poachers pluck the spiky air plants from trees at the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, and there aren't enough rangers to catch all the thieves.D- Sun-Sentinel: Bongs R Us.
It's frustrating, said U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service ranger William Calvert. Poachers are among the biggest threats clearing the park of these native plants.
Acting on complaints from parents, authorities have seized more than 5,000 pieces of drug paraphernalia from vendors at the Swap Shop.E- Sun-Sentinel: Chan Lowe.
F- WPLG: Video, cracking down on speeders mean issuing 6 citations in 2 hours? Woo-hoo!

E - You're right. 6 citations. Wohoo! And... it took 12 troopers to do it!
E: and they need marching orders to enforce traffic laws? So it's ok to speed except on those days they are told to stop speeders? Isn't their job to enforce the law? like all of them?
