I don't get it. I never will get it.
Hundreds of people pushed through the doors of the Mall at Wellington Green at 6:20 this morning in a rush to get to the Apple store and land an iPhone 4 on the first day of sales.Is there nothing more important in these people's lives?
They had been lined up in an orderly fashion most of the night. In fact, Marcos Prado of Royal Palm Beach, had gotten there - with tent - at 4 p.m. Wednesday. But there was confusion when multiple mall doors opened this morning and a rush ensued to get to the second floor Apple store.
Mall officials estimated the crowd at 400 to 450 people.
Mike Niles of West Palm Beach was among them. He said he was tackled by mall security in the fray, but still managed to make it to the head of the reservations line at the store.
“Apple customers are enthusiastic, what can I say?” said Rachelle Crain of the Mall at Wellington Green, commenting on this morning’s rush. “The enthusiasm level just got a little high. We were able to calm them down, and now people are just excited and waiting for their chance to get one of the phones.”

The new iPhone does nothing new, nothing ground breaking. It doesn't push the envelope.
They all drank the Apple Juice, bitten into the forbidden fruit.
At&t just managed to change their data plans to make it more expensive. The days of unlimited data are gone. How fat will that iPhone bill be your first month using it?
HTC Evo from Sprint does more than the new iPhone and it's only $80 bucks a month for the unlimited plan.
Although it's difficult, I try not to mock the religious celebrations of others. The Church of Jobs has the same rights as any other religious institution.
I agree with Rick what will they do when the iPhone is obsolete next month? Come on people its just a phone.Get a grip and get a life. Do you really have to purchase every little gadget these billionares distribute.They are laughing all the way to the vault.

Rick, I agree with you. People are just obsessed with having the latest item out and say they have it. Next year, they'll be making yet another line for another iPhone. The sad part is probably half of these people are out of a job, and they are in line to buy a $300 phone.
the new iphone does several things NEW: HD VIDEO!! 5MP camera, VIDEO PHONE, just to name a few. Me personally, I definitely would NOT, and DID NOT, stand in line for it however I AM on a waiting list mainly because I was in the market for a FLIP HD but instead am opting for the iphone4 with it's HD VIDEO capabilities. Yeah Man!

Maybe you didn't see the part that I said the Evo already does what the iPhone 4 does?
Both Evo and Incredible have HD video. The EVO has an hdmi out port to plug into your hi-def tv.
Evo has front facing camera and does video conferencing WITHOUT WIFI!! The iPhone must use WiFi for video conference.
The 5mp iPhone camera is small potatoes compared to 8mp of EVO.
Evo also records hi def video
Evo also has a market with tons and tons and tons of FREE apps. Yes even all the fart sound apps.
You can hold the EVO in your left hand without dropping a call.
Evo has an SD card for expandable storage. I've heard mixed news on this with the iPhone.
Android is open source, iOS is locked down like fort knox.
The EVO has a kickstand to make video conferencing and watching videos easier. You don't hold the phone, just lean it back.
EVO has google goggles.
Evo has Sprint Navigation AND Google Navigator
Oh, multitasking. Go back to the Palm Pre and WebOS. IT was multitasking 12 months ago at least. Android also multitasks.
Evo has 2 flashes. iPhone 4 (after 4 versions) finally gets ONE flash.
There's no unlimited data plan on the iPhone.
Should I continue?
Oh yeah, one more thing...
