Whoop, whoop, whoop! Blogging overload, blogging overload! It was a stellar day for blogging in the South Florida blogosphere. I'm worn out so let's just go right to this epic evening Sift.
A- Juice & Java on Washington Ave in Miami Beach is a great place for cheap, healthy food, according to Miami Beach 411.
Upon entering, you’ll hear the whir of the blender making smoothies and the sound of a knife chopping fresh vegetables. The atmosphere is inviting but basic. Tables, chairs, chill music, and natural food. If you ever wonder how some of the locals look amazing in swimsuits, they have Juice and Java to thank. The majority of Juice and Java’s customers are yoga devotees and gym rats. They swarm in from various yoga studios and Crunch across the street, to refuel post-workout. At any other restaurant, you’d hear them demanding special requests- no dressing, brown rice instead of white, egg whites only please! At Juice and Java, nothing on the menu can derail their carefully controlled diets. Locals who want fresh, healthy, delicious food that happens to be inexpensive, make up the rest of their customers.B- Eye on Miami takes a field trip to Flagler Dog Track to assess the impact that slot machines would have at Miami International Airport.
The parking lot for the Flagler Dog Track slots on Friday afternoon was pretty much full. To me, it seemed full of clunkers that should have been traded in when the Feds were paying cash, but maybe the deal wasn't good enough or the title was all screwed up with the ex-wife, so the owners took the phantom money they would have gotten from the cash for clunkers and spent it on real slots instead. I'd like to write there was a whiff of desperation, but it was just a windy Friday. The economy is horrendous. Families are relying on families to get by; jobs are scarce; but the ATM's are working and on Friday afternoon, what better place to turn before another weekend of uncertainty than gambling? Plus, if you have a lot of undeclared cash, who can argue with giving it away to the needy? Not me: I have my limits.C- The Burger Beast gives Tarpon Bend Food & Tackle in Coral Gables 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Borscht is a celebration of art, movies and all things 305. Every year, Borscht curates an irreverent collection of locally produced short films.E- Andre Agassi is stopping by Coral Gables next Monday, according to the The South Florida Traveler.
Best of all, it’s always free. This year, with help from the Miami World Cinema Center, Borscht has produced 5 films as part of the ‘CCCV Stories,’ each one focused on a specific neighborhood.

My Sleepless Night experience was great fun. I felt like I was on a treasure hunt for art and entertainment: navigating from one corner of Miami Beach to the next while taking in the sights and sounds of flashing neon lights, honking cars, live music and the ocean's crashing waves.J- If you're in the mood for some solid Greek food, you might want to try Anise Taverna in Miami Upper East Side, according to Food for Thought.
