Your Halloween Evening Sift

Have fun tonight, folks, but stay safe. And make sure you review your specially designed evening Sift...

A- Fanless photographed some Halloween revelers running the Miami Beach Half-Marathon this morning.

B- Happy Halloween from Hidden City, Miami, bro, and Local Motion Miami.

C- Artlurker reviews the Dave Mckenzie exhibition “On Premises” at Susanne Vielmetter.
A central work in the exhibition is “Attunement”, a video that plays out an alternate version of The Cosby Show’s pilot episode in which Bill Cosby uttered the infamous ‘Dadism’ “I brought you into this world, and I’ll take you out!” While this quote can seem lighthearted, McKenzie looks at what is said in a larger cultural context, exploring the balance of love and fear that often lie at the heart of human relationships.

Like much of Mckenzie’s oeuvre the work in this exhibition questions our ability to relate to those around us by revealing connected issues of faith and obedience, power and subjugation.
D- Transit Miami shares a couple photos taken at last night's ghoulish Critical Mass ride in Miami.
For the most part pedestrians and motorists cheered us on as we cruised in costume down Calle Ocho, through Mary Brickell Village and the Design District. For a change cars were honking for us and not at us which was encouraging.
E- It seems like everywhere you turn, Republicans are bickering among themselves. Homestead is Home has the latest example from South Dade.

F- Eye on Miami lists some of the contributors to the Rubio campaign.
