Your Morning Sift

Good morning.

It's Hump Day, peoples. We're halfway home to the weekend. Grab your coffee and your doughnut and join me for your morning Sift...

A- Miami Bike Scene says bikers might want to come out to PS14 one last time tonight.
...IAmYourVillain will be resurrecting FingerLickin' for "the last hoe-rah" tonight, Wednesday, October 28th.

Expect a lot of fun activities, cheap beer & food. They are going all out for this party: DJs, ping pong, skee ball, BBQ, kiddie pool, girls in bikinis, drink specials, etc. If you ever had a good time at PS14, tonight is the night to say goodbye, come by & pour out a little liquor for your neighborhood watering hole.

Bring a bike lock! There will be a lot of activities going on out in the patio and your bicycles might be in the way. You should be getting accustomed to carrying a lock anyways because once PS14 is closed you won't find another venue in Miami that will allow you & your friends to bring 20-30 bicycles inside. See you tonight.

D- Miami-Dade County Commissioner Joe Martinez has stopped accepting emails, according to Eye on Miami.
I think it is arrogant on his part. It is the equivalent of disconnecting your telephone line in the 60's, requiring people to write letters.
E- The Miami Civilian Investigative Panel is a farce, claims Carlos Miller.
In a scathing 15-page letter delivered to Miami Mayor Manny Diaz and the City Commission earlier this month, [former CIP chief investigator Steve] Wolf describes an environment of nepotism, inflated salaries, lackluster performance, hindrance of investigations and conflict of interests.
F- Bark Bark Woof Woof takes a look at one congressional race in New York that is exposing the large ideological schism that exists in the Republican Party today.
