Your Morning Sift

Good morning.

It was a fairly business night in the SoFla blogosphere last night. Let's get staryed with your morning Sift, shall we?

A- Obalesque has some comments on the latest Republican protests.
“Jesus Hates Health Care!” “Guns Yes Socialized Medicine No!” “Don’t Feed My Grandma to Illegal Immigrants!” Yeah, we got ourselves the makings of a movement here, all right. A bowel movement.

It’s what I was saying yesterday (Georgina) — let a thousand flowers bloom, even the blooming idiots. Exercise your right of free expression. It’s a good thing. I like it, especially when it says more about the expressers than the expressed.
B- The menu for The Burgies in September has been unveiled at The Burger Beast.

C- There's some cool time lapse shots over at the The South Florida Watershed Journal that demonstrates the seasonal cycles of the Everglades cypress swamp.

D- FTL Today comments on the City of Fort Lauderdale's efforts to quiet the beach.
It's amazing on what people will complain about these days. It seems that a new Ft. Lauderdale Beach 'noise ordinance' has gone into effect limiting any loud music in the clubs on the beach after 11 PM. The ordinance is in response to some residents along the beach complaining about the noise. Oh come on. Some restaurants can't have live music or even recorded music piped to the tables outside.

The main complainers on the list? New residents in some of the high-rise buildings. Give me a break.
E- People are digging Ipanemic's photography.

F- Bark Bark Woof Woof shares a video of an MSNBC interview of a woman who recently attended a town hall meeting in Pennsylvania and made some demands of Senator Arlen Specter.
