The July 4th weekend is here! I'm going to be staying in town and taking it easy. Maybe see a movie or two. Eat some good food. Perhaps catch a fireworks display close to home. Very low key.
Family reunion, and putting the finishing touches on the new place for the party we're having the next weekend. Oh, and making sure that the strays we're getting fixed are recovering before we try to adopt them out--anyone want a cat? We have three and they're getting pretty socialized.
Spending it all in Coconut Grove: Coconut Scavenger hunt, hot dog eating contest, old fashion picnic at the Barnacle, street party until 4 a.m. on Commodore Plaza of course live bands and Fireworks in Peacock Park. That is just the beginning then Sunday at the Dbl tree hotel for a quick swim and the Mermaid Splash Art opening at the Windisch-Hunt Fine Art Gallery all in Coconut Grove.

Heading to Texas to spend it with my family. Aside from BBQ on Saturday, I have a few food-related excursions planned.

Vancouver, ironically. Wonder if the Canucks will do anything.
I think we are going to the Viceroy. Looks like a very nice time and you should be able to see multiple fireworks.
