What I Learned On The Radio Today

I spent part of this morning and in to the afternoon on the road so I treated myself to some conservative talk radio. I say "treated" because it really is fun to listen to the paranoia and conspiracy theories that these loons gin up although I have to admit that I want to pound the steering wheel when they get into their anti-American rants.

Anywho...this is what I learned today about yesterday's shooting in D.C. from Glenn Beck and El Rushbo. Follow along...

President Obama is fomenting anti-Semitic fervor in the United States because he knows Reverend Jeremiah Wright [who makes nasty comments] and because he's trying to make peace in the Middle East. In fact, the Democratic Party as a whole is anti-Semitic [not counting those damn Hollywood liberals] even though 77% of Jews voted for Obama in November.

About the shooter himself...he's probably a leftist [even though he posted on a far right message forum] because he didn't like Bush [like wingnut Republicans] and John McCain [like wingnut Republicans]. No mention of the fact that he, like many far right wingnuts, doesn't believe our President has a U.S. birth certificate. Also, Democrats are being insensitive by making political points of this tragedy [just like righties will if they find out the shooter is a leftie].

And tonight I see that most of this information had a gestation period of, oh, about one hour, before it was regurgitated, point by point, by Little Limbaughs across the country.

It was a very enlightening day.
