I don't know about where you live, but the rain held off pretty much the whole day at my house in Broward until this evening. Here's your semi-dry Sunday evening Sift.
A- Incertus learns from a popular conservative blog that Jesus would have waterboarded.
B- Daily Cocaine gives the South Florida blogosphere it's second [favorable] look at the pizza at the new Pizzavolante [one word or two words?] in the Design District.
I ate a great pie here, the 'Cacciatorini'. The meat toppings-a meaty 'California' pepperoni; the wild boar sausage that gives the pizza its name; and the guanciale, oh jesus the guanciale, were draped over a good-sized round of wood-smoke-charred dough, that had enough 'wood-char' on it to bring a smile to a lumberjack.C- Food for Thought has a mixed experience at Eos.
The salmon, on the other hand, was an unmitigated disappointment - fishy and oversalted. I couldn't even tell you whether the unusual accompaniments of mastic (a resin derived from a Greek evergreen tree), rhubarb and pickled mushroom might have been successful, as the quality of the fish and overseasoning made it impossible to notice anything else.D- AshAndBurn is one of the first SoFla blogs with pictures from around Miami Beach this weekend.
