SFDB selects its Post of the Week by going back and reviewing all the Sifts that we've done over the past 7 days. We find the best post of the week and note the runners ups as we judge them to be.
I find that holiday weeks are notoriously slow in the blogosphere but this week was an exception as there was a flurry of posting that kept things interesting on the SFDB blogrolls. Here are the ones worth special, PotW mention...
Winner: Sex and the Beach was out of commission for a while and had literally disappeared off the blogosphere before Google was recently able to give it new life. Since then, things have been busy at Sex and the Beach and this week there were several notable posts. But the one stand out was a post that documented her Bike Miami Days adventure that involved her car being towed by bicycle through the streets of Miami by a friend wearing a sombrero. I mean, really, how can anyone top this? The post was actually well-composed and made generous use of photos and videos so that the reader got the full experience of this unusual event. For her diligent efforts and her Fruit Loop antics, Sex and the Beach's Ford Fiesta: Super Sombrero Man Tows Car With Bike! gets this week's SFDB Post of the Week.
Runners-Up: Miami Bike Scene posted yet another excellent video, this one of the recent Ride of Silence held in honor of cyclist who have been killed or injured. Brickell Life provided us some memories of South Beach before it was, well, South Beach and rounded up a vintage video to accompany their nice effort titled South Beach 1974 – A Forgotten Time and Generation. And, finally, Food For Thought continues to impress and inform the South Florida blogosphere with their wonderful restaurant reviews. This week he was the first South Florida blogger to post a review of the very new and very hot Pizzavolante restaurant in the Design District
'Til next time, people, keep on blogging!
