Your Evening Sift

Somewhere between Doral and Pembroke Pines, I lost 3 degrees of warmth on the drive home. The temperature is going down, folks...fast. Hopefully you have someone close by who can help you stay warm tonight.

And with that, here's your fairly early and gettin' chilly evening Sift.

A- Blind Mind continues making his case against the new Marlins stadium after Miami-Dade Mayor Alvarez writes a letter to the Herald.

B- Coconut Grove Grapevine lays out the things he would like to see from a new mayor.

We want free parking 24/7, we want fair Code Enforcement people, we want all building zoning laws followed and not changed at whim, and we want the City Commissioners who are not part of our district to stop making the laws for us. They are ruining the Grove with their ignorance. We also want to be our own city and not be part of the City of Miami anymore. And and we want peace on earth.

D- The Burger Beast tackles a 24-oz. Doomsday burger at Kingdom and lives to post about it.

It really does look so beautiful I don't want to eat it but I'll make the sacrifice. I do want to clarify something though. There is a Doomsday Challenge where you must eat the 24 oz. burger along with fries and onion rings in less than 15 minutes. This is no Doomsday Challenge for the record.
