I don't do memes. I find them annoying and uninteresting for the most part, both for me and my readers.But because SFDB is all about supporting the SoFla blogging community, I will acquiesce this once to an Incertus "tag" [ugh] and list six random things about myself.
What I won't do is "tag" anyone else and put them through this misery. Bear with me.
1. I'm an Army brat. Moved around every 3 years growing up and lived overseas for 1 "tour," as the Army calls it. My family also did a tour in Hawaii.
2. I eat pasta for dinner virtually every night of the week. It's a habit that I've found hard to break since my running days.
3. It's a tradition for me to watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation every Thanksgiving.
4. My beer of choice is Yuengling.
5. I've run 2 marathons (Pittsburgh '00, Disney '02).
6. Favorite fast food: Pollo Tropical Tropichop Max [white rice, black beans and chicken] with 2 curry/mustard sauces. To go.
Thank God that's over with.

Sorry about that, Rick. I'll never do it again. And as far as macro beets are concerned, I'm a Yuengling fan as well--probably helps that it's brewed in Tampa, so it's fresh.
Yuengling! Yum. Although to this day, my husband thinks it's a Chinese beer.

Actually, they have breweries in Tampa and Pottsville. I thought it was strictly eastern PA.

1. I'm not an army brat but my dad was a navy veteran who wanted nothing more than for me to enroll in Annapolis and become a US Marine officer.
I thought the idea was swell until I turned 12 years old and became immersed in 1960s counter culture literature.
I never looked back.
2. I've never been a runner but I also eat pasta almost every night (if not pizza or hamburgers) because I just love pasta. I think I was Italian in a previous life.
3. It's a tradition for me to watch the football game on Thanksgiving, no matter where I'm at, but as a Raider fan, I always wish it could be them playing instead of the Lions or the Cowboys.
4. I'm a Heineken man all the way.
5. No marathons for me but I did compete in a photomaraton.
6. I also like Pollo Tropical but not as much as I like Pollo Loco, which is the Mexican version out west. I used to eat there at least three times a week.
I a Belgian ale kind of gal - I love Duvel.
I'm not a big fan of memes though.
I don't think doing a meme, if meme is revealing a little about yourself to people who read your stuff everyday, should be such an issue and such a pain. Many people actually enjoy learning things about those with whom they share daily opinions.
