The "F," "G," and "P" under my initial on the left stand for "fairways," "greens," and "putts." If I hit a fairway or a green in regulation, I gave my self a check mark and counted how many putts I had on each hole. The extreme right column has the totals, including my score. The number that really needs worked on there is the greens hit. Six greens all day stinks making it almost a miracle that I was still able to shoot an 84. The circled "P's" in the lower section are penalty shots. In this case they were balls in the water hazards.
The course was in magnificent condition. I've played here 3 times since they redesigned it and today was, by far, the best shape I've seen it. The greens run extremely smooth and true but are very grainy and can be tricky when it comes to speed.
I had a pretty good front 9 and then couldn't put anything together on the back. The two penalty shots, and very inconsistent iron play doomed me. We played the blue tees, which at just over 6400 yards, is a fair test.
Rates this time of year are $70 for SoFla and Miami Beach residents, $50 for Premier Card members like me. Everyone else pays $90. In season, this course is $200.

Maybe we can drill for oil on that fairway. At least it won't spoil a beach.
And the award for the most nonsensical comment of the day goes to...guess who?

84 with no birds? Very impressive front nine, and no three putts.
Only one double. Well played.
Thanks, Steve. I was leaving putts short all day. Should have had a couple more 1 putts.
Two doubles, however. One on 9 (par 3!) and the other on 16.

It's the six pars on the front and only one on the back that caught my eye.
And what did you do with your second on no 9 to leave you a two putt double? Without that one, the front would have been really impressive.
#9, par 3 playing around 195 yard today. Toed a 3 iron into the front green side sand trap. Sand shot came up short of the green. Muffed a chip and 2 putted. Embarrassing.

Rick, I haven't picked up a club in 15 or more years, but still consider myself a student of the game. I was a pretty fair tournament caddy in the day and will still jump at the chance to be on bag for someone.
Your ninth hole reminds me a lot of my most frequent bag when I was a kid. He played to a 3 or 4 most of the time. Most rounds looked like this -- 14 greens, 1 one putt, 2 three putts, no saves, one double bogey, 6 over 76.
So, been there, virtually every round with him.
What a great post, and nice job! I'm lucky if I sniff 90.
Remember though...if you don't sign your scorecard, it doesn't count.
