Some great stories in the mainstream media this morning...

Palm Beach County elections officials said Friday they are investigating why they failed to quickly count more than 700 votes in a special election that marked the county's first experience with optical scanners.

A 707-vote disparity between an unofficial vote tally Tuesday and a final count two days later in a West Palm Beach City Commission race has spawned another wave of criticism and questions about Supervisor of Elections Arthur Anderson's ability to run an error-free election.

B- Sun-Sentinel: DMX gets arrested in Miami for the 2nd time this week.
MIAMI - For the second time this week, Rapper DMX has been arrested in Miami.

The 37-year-old, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was arrested Friday on charges of attempting to purchase cocaine and attempting to purchase marijuana, according to a Miami-Dade Police Department arrest report.

Simmons was arrested during a narcotics sting operation, according to the report. His bail was set at $6,000, online jail records show.

C- Sun-Sentinel: Gas giveaway sent Broward County into a frenzy yesterday.
LAUDERHILL - A syndicated radio show's announcement that it would pay for up to 360 cars to get free gas had vehicles lined up for more than 10 blocks at a gas station today.

The Tom Joyner Morning Show, which is broadcast on WHQT FM, said it would pay for up to 10 gallons of gas per car between noon and 2 p.m. at the Shell station at the corner of State Road 7 and NW 19th Street.

At least three cars ran out of gas while waiting in line.

D- Palm Beach Post: A sentence that hopefully you will never, ever read again in your entire life.
FORT PIERCE — A six-foot, 300-pound woman and a 15-year-old boy face sexual battery charges after they allegedly raped a retarded man.

E- South Florida Business Journal: Photo. All that's left of the OB.

F- CBS4: This morning's demolition of a building in Coral Gables was a dud.

G- CBS4: No surprise.
MIAMI (CBS4) ― Women still regret one night stands far more than men, according to a recent study, which explains that women have negative feelings after a fling and remain unhappy with fleeting sexual encounters.

Make sure you watch the video which, at first, makes one wonder whether there are any Americans left on South Beach.
