Not that I would expect anything dealing with US/Cuba relations to make any sense but wouldn't allowing US Cubans to visit relatives in Cuba kind of destroy the rational of allowing them to live in the US at all? Aren't they supposed to be highly persecuted political refugees who would be immediately put in front of firing squads were they to be repatriated? The fact that the government maintains that they can't be safely sent back to Cuba is the only reason they aren't shipped back on the next boat like all other immigrants that land on our shores.
