Draft Day/Select A Seat @ Dolphin Stadium

So a buddy and I dropped in on the Draft Day Party/Select a Seat Event that was held over at Dolphin Stadium yesterday and took advantage of the open stadium to explore the areas of the facility that usually aren't accessible to the Average Joe during the season.

The regular fanatics were everywhere...

As were the pontificators...

And the cheerleaders...

But parts of the stadium were eerily empty...

And although it was warm, these deck areas were very cool because of the...

...that hung overhead.

In the stadium, all the available seats had a white piece of paper taped to them so if you were liked the view, you removed the paper and went to a representative to arrange your payment. As you can see (click on photo to enlarge), not too many seats are open.

The field itself was a mixture of the current baseball configuration and the football yardage markers situated so you could envision your "football view."

Throughout the stands, small groups of people relaxed in a kind of surreal setting not unlike a regular season Marlins game.

As you can see, it wasn't just adults in attendance. Kids were welcome, too. Properly restrained, of course.

But the most enjoyable part was sneaking into the exclusive sky box area and experiencing how the affluent watch the games...

And used the men's room...

Because there's absolutely nothing that says you've made it in the world better than when you have a flat screen above your urinal.

Appreciate the mention, guys. Senor, I am not worthy. Carlos, you just like it because it's like the one you have.
