Your Evening Sift

Rolled on up to West Palm Beach and took in a few hours of the Barrett-Jackson Collector's Car Auction. Lots and lots of Mustangs this year and the ones that wore a Shelby moniker were more plentiful than I've ever seen them. Look for pictures on my Flickr at the bottom of the right sidebar sometime this weekend.

On to your evening wrap-up...

A- Blast Off! is in Philly for Eschacon08. Cool.

B- Discourse points us to an obit for a Miami librarian that had a bit of spice in her. Infomaniac has her picture and a few comments.

C- Great picture taken in Havana in 1952 from babalu.

D- There's nothing more depressing than reading a post like Bacardi & Diet's latest if your life is as boring as mine.
It’s now 1:30PM, I only got 4 hours of sleep, but believe me I’m ready to hit the SurfComber pool party this afternoon. I’m going to put on my bikini, head for the beach for a little r&r and sunshine, then to the party. To all of you who are experiencing this fantastic weekend, ain’t life grand?!

E- Eye on Miami thinks 22-year-old arms dealer Efraim E. Diveroli from Miami Beach has a great future ahead of him.
I can imagine that an entrepreneur like Mr. Diveroli can't be kept down. I'm guessing he will show up as a Miami mortgage broker anytime soon, or, drilling wells for the water management district.

F-Mayor Manny hangs with Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston. I wonder if he calls her "Jen?"

G- South Florida views from the 12th Floor of One Bal Harbour, courtesy Miami Condo Investments. Cold weather people, eat your heart out.

H- Tilefortlauderdale hides Ethel behind a huge trash dispenser in the rest room at a Jamba Juice in Fort Lauderdale.

D. Dear Rick, WMC is alive and kicking. About to get in the shower and get ready to hit Pawn Shop. Gabriel & Dresden are spinning and it will get crazy. Looking forward to it, and even bought new comfy shoes just for tonight.
See ya in blogosphere.

Rick, I read that stuff and a)I'm so glad I'm not into that scene anymore; b)I don't know how I ever had the energy to do it.

I couldn't get out of the springbreakers-and-WMD-filled Beach fast enough this afternoon and will avoid it like the plague this weekend.

Oh Alex! Listen, sometimes I couldn't agree with you more. It is at times super annoying, Specially if you're over 30. But I will tell you this. It's 5:30AM, I just got back from Pawn Shop. It was an amazing night. I don't want to get into it right now, because I have a yummy British boy (yes the same boy from last night) who is literally watching me type this, laying on my bed.
Gotta go. Chat later,

Don't get me wrong, if you are less than 30 party 'til you wear out the comfy shoes.

You think it's slow friggin' torture, Rick? Try being her neighbor during WMC while your under-18 kids are in town on Spring Break. It doesn't help that there's another hot young Brazilian living on the other side of me that is making the most of this week as well.

If nothing else, I can photograph the expression on the yummy British Boy's face this morning when he comes out to begin his "walk of shame." Annnny minute now.
